As you have read recently, I have been a little bit busy. Weddings, proms, 'tis the season for my profession.
Currently, I have had to put many of my more creative and original endeavors on hold to be able to accommodate my wonderful clients, which I am happy to do. However, this leaves much less time for creating original designs which I had been posting in my (very lean) Etsy shop.
Running an Etsy shop well is its own job, and one that right now, I simply do not have the resources for. Success with Etsy requires me to manage it, promote it, and create inventory for it, as well as answer customer inquiries, ship items across the country, and maintain a network of other shops, fans and followers. The page that is currently up for Restitch Studio does more to add to the clutter than to display & sell pieces of which I am very proud.
For the time being, my Etsy shop will go on hold while I focus my energy on my local clients and sewing services. I hope to pick up again with my antique lace and vintage scarf creations when things calm down here a bit, perhaps in the fall. Oh! I also want to continue with my Elsa Schiaparelli blog posts as well!
