Several months back, I got in touch with photographer and stylist, Sadie from by ae. Sadie takes pictures of products and tangible goods. I was hoping she'd take a few pictures of my studio plus a few pictures of some original garments that were either on a dress form or model; she did a fantastic job. Pretty much all photos I post that are gorgeous and not taken on a cell phone are her work.
Then this summer she contacted me about another photo shoot. She mentioned that one particular dress has been "haunting" her. She explained that with a dress that dramatic she would really like to have time to prepare and style a shoot to showcase the dress and the story it tells.
I was super excited and we started brainstorming. We got some other talented local artisans involved to help bring the vision together at the end of September. It was a great afternoon. The creating, styling, artistry and well, silliness, of the day only ended when the sun sank.
Here are some pictures that I took on my cellphone of the day's shenanigans:
And now, let's be honest, what everyone REALLY wants to see are the actual finished photo's that Sadie took with a real camera and actual know-how. My know-how only stretches as far as apparel-- and how to wear a crown really well. So without further ado--
